Some thoughts on the Black Hole film:
Look into Fibonacci series of numbers, good stuff for spirals nature and general science nonsense.
Have a look at this guys film Brian Transeau '1.618' (its on the cusp of being very cheesey new age but its interesting in terms of composition (he uses the golden section as the title suggests)
also influenced by the film Koyaanisqatsi .
Also buy the latest Eye magazine its got good articles on the hand made/ craft renaissance, also a good review of a book about Barney Bubbles
